Katado

Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of katado.app and the Katado app (“Katado”, “we”, “us”), operated by Daniel Cheng. By using Katado you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Katado.

The service

Katado is a free workout logging web app. We provide it on an ongoing best-effort basis and may change, add, or discontinue features. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 (or the age of digital consent in your country), or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use Katado.

Your account and data

Katado starts you in an anonymous session; you may optionally sign in with Google to sync across devices. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and account. Your workout data is yours — see the Privacy Policy for how to export or delete it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Katado for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to break, overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its data;
  • reverse-engineer or misuse the service or interfere with other users.

Not medical or professional advice

Katado logs training and offers general progression suggestions based on the numbers you enter. It is not medical, health, or professional fitness advice. Resistance training carries a risk of injury. Consult a qualified professional before starting or changing a training program, and stop if you feel unwell or experience pain. You train at your own risk.

Intellectual property

The Katado app, its design, and its content are owned by the operator. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Katado for your own training. Your workout data remains yours.

Third-party services

Sign-in and infrastructure rely on third parties — Google (sign-in), Supabase (database and authentication), and Vercel (hosting and analytics) — each with its own terms.

Disclaimers

Katado is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost — please keep your own backups of anything important.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any injury or loss arising from your training or use of Katado. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including certain consumer rights). Because Katado is provided free of charge, any aggregate liability is limited accordingly.

Termination

You may stop using Katado at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or to protect the service or its users.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will revise the date above, and continued use of Katado after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
